Gulf Language School is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.
Measures to support accessibility
Gulf Language School takes the following measures to ensure accessibility of www.gls.edu:
- Accessibility is included as a requirement when pages and templates are built, rather than added afterwards.
- We run automated accessibility testing against our public pages and correct the issues it surfaces.
- Pages provide a skip-to-content link and consistent landmarks — header, navigation, main content and footer — so keyboard and screen-reader users can move through them.
- Each page declares its language and uses a single main heading, so assistive technology announces content correctly.
- Images carry text alternatives, and decorative images are marked so screen readers skip them.
- When a barrier is reported, we correct it in the page or the template rather than masking it with an overlay.
Conformance status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. They define three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.
www.gls.edu is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard. We do not claim full conformance, and we have not obtained a third-party conformance certification.
